The hospital, located at Agamkuan, is well-connected by all major modes of transportation. Spread across approximately 100 acres, its various departments are housed in multiple buildings throughout the campus. Each department is well-equipped with modern medical technology and staffed by experienced and skilled doctors. NMCH serves as a major healthcare hub for eastern Patna, providing outpatient services to around 2,000 patients daily. The number of daily admissions across departments—including the emergency and casualty units—is also significantly high. The hospital has around 750 beds, with a consistently high occupancy rate. A fully computerized, centralized registration system ensures efficient patient management. Medicines are distributed to both OPD and admitted patients in accordance with Bihar government guidelines. The hospital features a state-of-the-art, fully air-conditioned lecture theatre equipped with multimedia projectors and advanced audio-visual aids. It also has a well-furnished seminar hall and an extensive library containing the latest editions of medical textbooks. The operation theatres are equipped for minimally invasive surgeries and advanced endo-urology procedures. Additional infrastructure includes a centralized gas pipeline system and centralized suction facilities. In addition to routine medical care, NMCH actively participates in national health programs such as the Pulse Polio Immunization initiative, playing a vital role in public health outreach.
